Mariana Capital Markets was created in January 2010 by a group of former Lehman Brothers directors, who all viewed the turmoil in global markets as a perfect backdrop for developing a brokerage company with a strong analytical and trading-focused back-bone.

With the back-to-basics approach across the market causing a shift to more vanilla instruments, the lack of attractive trading-focused offerings in the Inter-Dealer Market, coupled with the value of independent derivatives expertise currently, meant the time for this type of boutique looked very attractive.

The primary focus and expertise of the founding partners is derivative trading and quantitative strategies. Our aim is to provide an insight into derivative trading, using information gleaned from market information both across regions as well as across various asset.
